Hello, I am Leyla, and I am General Psychologist. I am a dedicated and compassionate psychologist with a deep passion for helping clients improve their lives. I believe in empowering individuals to become active participants in their own recovery journey. My aim is to foster a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can freely explore and understand their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
I understand that therapy can be an intimidating endeavour for many, especially children and adolescents, so I try hard to ensure that every client feels comfortable and valued. By cultivating a sense of trust and understanding, I establish a therapeutic alliance that serves as the foundation for meaningful and transformative work.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am particularly passionate about working with people with personality disorders, trauma, and anxiety disorders. I combine evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, with a person-centred and strengths-based approach. I am committed to helping individuals achieve positive change, resilience, and well-being.
When I am not working you can find me going on scenic walks, at the beach (in warmer months of course), binge watching tv shows, eating out at the best restaurants, spending time with my friends and family, and spending time with my dog, Hendrix.
