Hi, I’m William, a Registered Psychologist at Mind Health Collective.
I work with people of all ages, from children aged 8 through to adults, across Sydney. I enjoy working with diverse people and a wide range of presentations. I strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship with the people I work with, because I believe connection is a key factor in positive outcomes. My aim is to provide a non-judgemental and secure space where clients can explore their challenges and work towards their goals.
I especially enjoy working with young people who are struggling with worry, big emotions, or the challenges that can come with ADHD, autism, and learning or developmental differences. I also work with teenagers and adults who are navigating strong emotions, difficult life events, or simply looking for support.
Alongside therapy, I carry out psychological and cognitive assessments, to help families and individuals understand how they think, learn, and cope.
I have experience across a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I enjoy building new skills and drawing on the latest research to guide and empower my clients. My goal is to help people develop a stronger sense of self, cultivate healthier relationships, and move towards a more authentic and fulfilling life.
What I Can Help With
- Children and teenagers (around 8 to 17) with stress, worries, and big emotions, and parents who want to understand and support their young people
- Young adults and adults building new skills, working through hardship, or growing their capacity to cope
- ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences, plus learning difficulties and school-related challenges
- Trauma and adjusting to big changes at home, work, or school
- Parents and caregivers who want practical strategies that work at home and at school
- Psychological and cognitive assessments (such as the WISC) to guide support and planning
- Workplace injuries and recovery (SIRA trained)
How I Work
I believe in getting to know each client as an individual, and tailoring my approach to fit their unique needs, meeting them exactly where they are in their journey. I use evidence-based approaches and adapt them to the person in front of me. Depending on what is needed, that can include cognitive and behavioural strategies, and emotion-coaching approaches for children and parents. I work closely with families and other supports. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. I want therapy to feel safe, so the real work can develop.
A Bit About Me
I really enjoy working with people, I value diversity, and I am a lifelong learner. I care about making mental health support approachable and stigma-free. Outside of work I am an active person who enjoys nature, especially birds, and digital media.
